The Fenton Tigers lost against the Lake Fenton Blue Devils back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Fenton was outmatched by the Blue Devils on the road and fell 73-27. Fenton has not had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Lake Fenton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Parker Beardsley led the charge by scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. It was the first time this season that Beardsley pulled down eight or more rebounds. Savannah "sj" fellenbaum was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Fenton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Lake Fenton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fenton and the Dragons will face off at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Lake Fenton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cavaliers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Corunna will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 546th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 86th).
