Biggs has gone 9-1 against Hamilton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Wolverines will venture away from home to square off against the Braves at 4:00 p.m. Biggs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.5 runs per game this season.
Biggs came out on top against Live Oak on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run first inning. The Wolverines took their contest against the Lions 13-9. The game was the first time the Wolverines have beaten the Lions on their field since March 23, 2017.
Gracie Sheppard made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and five unearned) runs off three hits. Sheppard was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Biggs got a massive performance out of Mailey Seipert, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Emma Bermudez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Biggs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They got six more hits than Live Oak's also-impressive total of 11.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hamilton). Everything went their way against Williams last Thursday as they made off with a 23-0 victory. The Braves haven't had any issues with the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
The team relied heavily on Ally Odem, who went 2-for-3 with four runs and two RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Esmerelda Castillo, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and one double.
Biggs has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.9 runs over those games. As for Hamilton, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Both Biggs and Hamilton just can't seem to miss. The Wolverines have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.1 hits per game. However, it's not like Hamilton struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Biggs came out on top in a nail-biter against Hamilton in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 8-7. Do the Wolverines have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Braves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
