We expected the IKM/Manning Wolves to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked the Treynor Cardinals last Friday, and they did. Manning suffered a grim 75-49 defeat to Treynor. If Manning was hoping to take revenge for the 71-52 defeat against Treynor when the teams met last December, then they were left disappointed.
This is the second loss in a row for the Wolves and nudges their record down to 7-9. Treynor's win brought them up to 16-1.
Manning will take on Missouri Valley on Tuesday. Manning won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings. The Cardinals are on the road again on Tuesday and play against Riverside. Treynor is the favorite in this one, with an expected 10-point margin of victory.
