Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Peekskill). They put the hurt on the Montfort Academy Knights with a sharp 56-36 win on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Red Devils as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Montfort Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Bianca Creales, who posted 17 points, and Tafadzwa Ruvando, who put up 14 points.

Peekskill's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Montfort Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peekskill will venture away from home to square off against Yonkers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Montfort Academy and Sacred Heart will compete for holiday cheer at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
