Basketball Recap: Christ Covenant Skates Past Coastal Brigade with Ease

Christ Covenant had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They really took it to Coastal Brigade for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-33 victory. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 23 points or more this season.

Christ Covenant had a senior duo take command as JD Dill dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 boards and Noah Stein went 10 of 24 on his way to 27 points and eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dill has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Cook, who posted two points and seven rebounds.

Liam Harris and Luke Bledsoe certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Harris went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points in addition to seven boards and four steals, while Bledsoe put up 12 points and five rebounds. That was a full 36.4% of Coastal Brigade's points, marking the third time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points.

Christ Covenant's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Coastal Brigade, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Christ Covenant wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-27 defeat against Greenville Christian Academy on the 5th. As for Coastal Brigade, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-38 victory against Bethel Assembly Christian Academy on the 6th.
