Softball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is North Moore's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

North Moore won against Bartlett Yancey two weeks ago with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Everything went the Mustangs' way against the Central Carolina Academy Eagles as they made off with a 15-1 win. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.

Macey Jackson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaylee Lindloff, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two runs. Adrianna Patterson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one triple.

North Moore was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .579. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March.

North Moore has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Central Carolina Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, North Moore will venture away from home to square off against Chatham Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central Carolina Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
