Calvary Christian Academy waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins but they left with three. They managed a 32-27 victory over Salisbury Christian. Given Calvary Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 42nd in Delaware, while Salisbury Christian is ranked 272nd in Maryland), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Diaya Armantrading was her usual excellent self, scoring seven points along with 20 rebounds and five steals. Sadie Fournier was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Calvary Christian Academy pushed their record up to 9-7 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Salisbury Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-20.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian Academy will take on Holly Grove Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Calvary Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 28.6 points per game this season, so Holly Grove Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Salisbury Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Salisbury at 4:30 p.m. on February 6th. Salisbury Christian is facing Salisbury at the right time seeing as Salisbury is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
