Vladimir Garcia Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, El Campo got the W thanks in part to Vladimir Garcia playing the best football he has all season. Garcia rushed for 241 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 66 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Andrews Made His Presence Known in Bay City's 40-21 Win
Bay City picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jada Andrews. La Vernia had no answer to Andrews as he rushed for 136 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 57 receiving yards. Andrews' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 121 rushing yards dating back to last season.
If history really does repeat itself, Andrews might just drop another big game when he faces off against El Campo on Friday. Andrews rushed for 178 yards and three touchdowns the last time he and the Ricebirds duked it out back in October of 2023.
