1A South Central - West recap Nov. 7, 2012
Zillah extended the longest winning streak in 1A South Central - West this week by beating Warden, 38-7. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Cle Elum-Roslyn's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tyler Kretschman threw for 86 and one touchdown and Griffin Alexander had 35 yards receiving. On the ground Mitchell Millsap chipped in 180 yards. Millsap helped Cle Elum-Roslyn's passing attack out by catching one ball for 25 yards.
Joe Trapp made the biggest impact on defense this week as Highland fell to Kiona-Benton. The 5-foot-11 sophomore recorded one fumble.
Cle Elum-Roslyn's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kretschman has thrown for 883 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Jake Gall has 20 catches for 389 yards. Gall leads the league in rushing with 1220 yards.
La Salle made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,541 from 10,814. The improvement came about via a 24-13 victory over Columbia last week.
