The Satellite Scorpions will face off against the Wheaton Academy Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last six games Satellite has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Satellite took a eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Merritt Island, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Scorpions skirted past the Mustangs 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Scorpions have posted against the Mustangs since April 27, 2021.

Brandon Reiter made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brady Roberts, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Gabe Colbert was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Wheaton Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Cocoa Beach. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by just one run.
Lincoln Park was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk).
At the plate, Eli Tate made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. That double was his first of the season.
Satellite pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.25 runs across that stretch. As for Wheaton Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
