Iowa had lost four straight headed into Tuesday's matchup, but Alivia Singletary didn't let it get to five. Everything went the Yellowjackets' way against the Jennings Bulldogs on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win with plenty of help from Singletary, who had 16 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Iowa never let Jennings on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-23, 25-12.

Iowa's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 9-14. As for Jennings, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Iowa has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against DeQuincy on the 16th. As for Jennings, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against St. Edmund on the 20th.
