A.C. Reynolds was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 65-54 to the Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers. Even though they lost, the Rockets' still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 51 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

When it comes to explaining why A.C. Reynolds lost, don't look at Duncan Carver. Despite the final result, he shot 50% from the field to rack up 20 points and six rebounds. Will Calhoun also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Nolan Lowery continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Charlotte Country Day School, going 11-for-15 on his way to 22 points and three steals. Lowery is becoming a predictor of the Buccaneers' success: when he posts at least 15 points the team is undefeated (and 0-4 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Emory Roberts, who shot 45% from the field en route to 12 points.

A.C. Reynolds' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Charlotte Country Day School, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Looking ahead, A.C. Reynolds will be playing at home against Mountain Heritage at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Charlotte Country Day School, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 76-72 victory against Pisgah on the 6th.
