It was a good run, but Thales Academy Apex unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 12-1 to the South Wake Sabres.

Thales Academy Apex saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Holden Wilcenski, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Tanner Murphy also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Thales Academy Apex's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for South Wake, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-10 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thales Academy Apex will welcome Neuse Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for South Wake, they will be playing at home against Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
