They wound up on the wrong side of a  tough 17-3 walloping at the hands of the Juan Diego Catholic Soaring Eagle on Monday.   Katelyn Horn made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-2 with a  triple and a  run.
 On Juan Diego Catholic's side,  Ellie Palmer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Palmer was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Sarah Fiore was  incredible,  going 3-for-3 with two  triples, five  RBI,  and three  runs. Another player making a difference was  Taelah Dick, who  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Summit Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Juan Diego Catholic, the  win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-5.
 Summit Academy will stay at home for another  game and welcome American Leadership Academy at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Juan Diego Catholic, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Judge Memorial Catholic at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Juan Diego Catholic knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  team has finished with flashy  run totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Judge Memorial Catholic likes a good challenge.
