Escondido Charter has gone 7-2 against Tri-City Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Tigers will head out to take on the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Escondido Charter is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
Escondido Charter took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Mission Vista a 7-0 shutout. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Tigers have posted against Mission Vista since March 23, 2021.
Mission Vista's batters probably weren't too happy with Lilly Harper, who pitched a no hitter and racked up eight Ks (she gave up two walks). Harper has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

Olivia Hernandez was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Another player making a difference was Logan Valdivia, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Escondido Charter's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Tri-City Christian, their record is now 9-1-1.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Escondido Charter hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .354. However, it's not like Tri-City Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .387. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Escondido Charter beat Tri-City Christian 6-2 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
