The Conway Springs Cardinals scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Caldwell at home to the tune of 60-17. That looming 60-17 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Conway Springs yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Conway Springs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Raylee Chitwood, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Chitwood also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Haylee Osner, who scored 13 points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Caldwell struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Conway Springs' victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Caldwell, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conway Springs will play host again and welcome Berean Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Berean Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Conway Springs in Kansas (Berean Academy is ranked 63rd, while Conway Springs is ranked 232nd). Caldwell will be home for the holidays to greet Central Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Christian is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
