Michael Valencia Earns League's Top Spot
 Starting off the list is South El Monte's  Michael Valencia, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Thursday  Valencia forced a fumble and made six total tackles. The  performance  also marked the most  rushing yards (76)  he has had since back in September of 2023. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 66 yards.
 The  win  got South El Monte back to even at 3-3. Valencia and South El Monte will face off against El Monte at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.

Felipe Taboada Delivers Electric  Performance Vs Gabrielino
  Felipe Taboada was a major factor in El Monte's  victory over Gabrielino on Friday. Taboada turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 156 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 57 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
 El Monte's win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 5-1. Taboada and El Monte are taking a road trip to  square off against South El Monte  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.

Armando Renteria Delivers Best  Performance of Season
 Rosemead came up short  on Friday despite  Armando Renteria delivering his best game to date. Renteria picked up 168 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 80 yards.
 Rosemead is  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-5. Renteria and Rosemead will be playing at home against Mountain View  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.

A Season-Best  Effort from  Matthew Medina Leads South El Monte over Mountain View
 South El Monte was led to victory by  Matthew Medina, who turned in his biggest game of the season  on Thursday. Medina threw for 248 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes.
 Unfortunately for Mountain View, this isn't the first big game they've seen from  Medina. Medina threw for 211 yards and four touchdowns on only 16 passes the last time he and the Vikings duked it out  back in October of 2023.

Noah Munoz Turns in Season-Best  Effort
  Noah Munoz produced his most outstanding game to date while leading El Monte to the win  on Friday. Munoz picked up 121 receiving yards and a touchdown.
 For the season,  Munoz  has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 69.2 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season,  he was only averaging 34.67  receiving yards per game.
