The Monterey Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 18th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 62-25 loss at the hands of Trousdale County. Monterey lost against Trousdale County in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 59-48 score last time.
Despite the loss, Monterey saw an underclassman step up: Aiden Roberson-Barber scored 13 points.
Monterey's defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-26. As for Trousdale County, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-15.
Monterey does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Trousdale County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-49 loss vs. Liberty Creek on the 9th.
