The Whiteoak Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They fell just short of Fayetteville-Perry by a score of 48-45. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Whiteoak in their matchups with the Rockets: they've now lost five in a row.
Fayetteville-Perry found their leader in underclassman Lilly Carlier, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that Carlier pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryley Kleemeyer, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Whiteoak's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-9. As for Fayetteville-Perry, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.
Whiteoak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Fayetteville-Perry will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Nighthawks at 1:30 p.m. Cincinnati Country Day is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
