For the first time this season, West Lafayette will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the Twin Lakes Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Lafayette will be strutting in after a victory while Twin Lakes will be coming in after a loss.
On Tuesday, West Lafayette earned a 6-3 win over Seeger. The victory continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won three in a row.

Molly Mansfield made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Those 15 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run.
Mansfield wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Raegan Miller, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI. Paola Eifler was another, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
West Lafayette was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seeger only posted a batting average of .192.
Meanwhile, Twin Lakes came up short against Carroll on Tuesday and fell 5-1. The Indians have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Like West Lafayette, Twin Lakes also got a great game from a two-way player: Myley Spriggs. She struck out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Spriggs was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.
Twin Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2-1. As for West Lafayette, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
West Lafayette was able to grind out a solid victory over Twin Lakes in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, winning 7-4. Do the Red Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
