The Dunbar Tigers entered their tilt with the Lehigh Lightning with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Dunbar came out on top in a nail-biter against Lehigh on Friday and snuck past 18-15. Given Dunbar's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 108th, while Lehigh is ranked 284th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dunbar got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Austin Price out in front who threw for 159 yards and two touchdowns. Dunbar also got help from Twaski Abrams who showed off his sure hands for 91 receiving yards.
Dunbar has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Lehigh, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
Dunbar will look to defend their home field on Friday against Fort Myers at 7:30 p.m. Fort Myers knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Dunbar likes a good challenge. Lehigh does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
