Basketball Recap: Haven Piles Up the Points Against Nickerson

It was a proper cat-fight when Haven duked it out withNickerson on Tuesday. The Haven Wildcats breezed by the Nickerson Panthers to the tune of 62-34. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Garrett Crossman, who posted 11 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Brawner, who scored five points and six boards.

Haven's win bumped their record up to 11-1-1. As for Nickerson, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Pratt the next time they take the court. Nickerson will head out to face Pratt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Haven will host them on Tuesday.
