Meanwhile, North scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Maryvale 69-66. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win North has posted yet this season.
North's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trystan Williams, who scored 13 points along with seven blocks and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Anthony Trujillo, who scored 21 points.
Carl Hayden Community has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for North, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-10.
