Softball Recap: Cloverleaf Wins Going Away Against Necedah

Cloverleaf had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Necedah on Thursday. Cloverleaf put the hurt on Necedah with a sharp 12-0 victory. The Colts' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Caroline Sitko was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Kennedie Prok was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Cloverleaf always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Necedah only posted an OBP of .333.

The win got Cloverleaf back to even at 2-2. As for Necedah, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Cloverleaf will head out to challenge Norton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The game will give Cloverleaf their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Necedah, they will be playing at home against Westfield Area at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
