It was a good run, but the Ossining Pride unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Mamaroneck by a score of 57-54. Ossining was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mamaroneck apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Several Pride players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Claire Schnecker, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Saniya Bell, who scored 18 points along with two steals.
Ossining's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Mamaroneck, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.
Ossining will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Rockland at 5:00 p.m. on February 23rd. Ossining is coming into the game with four straight defeats at home, meaning North Rockland will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. Mamaroneck does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
