Basketball Recap: Wossman Piles Up the Points Against Grant

It was a proper cat-fight when Wossman duked it out withGrant on Friday. The Wossman Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Grant Cougars 56-16. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 22 points or more this season.

The victory (which was Wossman's third in a row) raised their record to 21-5. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.3 points per game. As for Grant, their defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-18.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wossman will challenge West Ouachita at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. West Ouachita will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Wossman surely won't give up without a fight. As for Grant, they will face off against Rapides at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Grant is facing Rapides at the right time seeing as Rapides is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
