Volleyball Recap: Eau Claire Memorial Wins Going Away Against Menomonie

There's no place like home for Eau Claire Memorial, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Sunday. They blew past the Menomonie Mustangs 3-0 on Tuesday. The match marked the Old Abes' most dominant victory of the season.

One reason for the win was Eau Claire Memorial's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-21, 25-12.

Norah Kling paced Eau Claire Memorial's offense, picking up 12 kills. Kling got some help from Addison Schroeder and her 20 assists. Schroeder also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lauren Redwine, each putting up two.

Menomonie's loss came despite strong showings from Jasaiah Lor and Hannah Tireman. Lor had 21 digs, while Tireman had seven digs and three aces.

Eau Claire Memorial's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 18-19. As for Menomonie, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-21.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Eau Claire Memorial and Wausau West will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd. Menomonie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
