Trinity Catholic had trouble last week, and unfortunately for them, their opponent this week is a big step up in difficulty. On Saturday they take on Greenwich at Youth Football Day @ Cardinal Stadium at 4:00 PM. Given their recent losses, both teams have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend.
Trinity Catholic had to hit the road for their first game, and unfortunately the road hit them back. Trinity Catholic didn't finish too far behind, but the squad still lost 22-27 to Danbury. Junior Tahjee Morgan and senior Anthony Anderson were two go-getters for Trinity Catholic despite the loss. The former rushed for 79 yards and 1 touchdown, while the latter caught passes for 103 yards and 1 touchdown.
Meanwhile, Greenwich were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They were fully in charge, breezing past Trumbull 42-7. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-7.
Greenwich's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Trinity Catholic's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. The Greenwich defense got after the quarterback against Trumbull to the tune of 7.0 sacks, so Trinity Catholic's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the contest.
