ADAMSVILLE, Tenn. - the Cardinals scored 35 points in the first quarter to secure a big 48-7 victory over Scotts Hill (Reagan, Tenn.) on Saturday.
Adamsville scored on a
Zak Neary touchdown run, a touchdown run by
Jacob Wallis, a Neary touchdown run, a Neary touchdown pass to Wallis and a touchdown run by
Tanner Liddy in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a touchdown in the first quarter, AHS was up 41-0 at the half.
A 35-point first quarter set the table for the Cardinals, who coasted the rest of the way for the victory.
Wallis played well for Adamsville in the victory. The senior wide receiver ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown. He has now scored 13 touchdowns on the season.
Scotts Hill's only touchdown came on a pass in the third quarter.
AHS entered the contest giving up 18.4 points per game this year.
The victory was a step in the right direction for the Cardinals, who were coming off a 35-25 defeat at the hands of Hardin County in its previous game.
