Make it 12 blowout wins for the Eastmark Firebirds this season. They took their matchup on the road on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 67-14 victory over Combs. Given Eastmark's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Combs is ranked 197th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Eastmark was led to victory by Anna LaFountain and Ella LaFountain. LaFountain scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while LaFountain scored 21 points along with two blocks. Kaitlynn Barnett was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Eastmark pushed their record up to 14-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Combs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.
Coincidentally, Eastmark and Combs will both be playing Arizona College Prep the next time they take the court. Eastmark will host Arizona College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Combs will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
