Menlo-Atherton came tearing into Monday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 12-11 W against the Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish.

Kylie Cox was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Loose, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5.

Menlo-Atherton hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts in four consecutive games.

Menlo-Atherton's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.5 runs. As for Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Menlo-Atherton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-5 victory against Terra Nova on the 27th. As for Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-5 win against Lowell on the 26th.
