Hand hasn't had much luck against Foran recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Lions at 4:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Hand sitting on four straight wins and Foran on ten.
On Monday, Hand was able to grind out a solid victory over East Haven, taking the game 6-2.

Grace Hall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Lena Aguzzi was excellent, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Tatum Cash was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run.
Meanwhile, Foran got themselves on the board against Branford on Monday, but Branford never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 13-0 win. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by eight runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Norah Bove, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Maddie Deldin, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Foran's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Hand, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
