Ozanam and Frontier School of Excellence are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. Ozanam will head out on the road to face off against Frontier School of Excellence at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Ozanam focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Thursday.
Ozanam suffered their biggest defeat since December 2, 2023 on Thursday. They were dealt a 59-31 defeat at the hands of The Daniel Academy.
Despite the defeat, Ozanam had strong showings from Talan Olmstead, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, and Zaireion Nicholson, who scored seven points along with five rebounds. Olmstead is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Frontier School of Excellence was able to grind out a solid win over Kansas School for the Deaf on Thursday, taking the game 46-34.
Among those leading the charge was Henry Uti, who scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season.
Ozanam's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Frontier School of Excellence, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the pair are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Ozanam hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 52.6 points per game. It's a different story for Frontier School of Excellence, though, as they've been averaging only 50 points per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Ozanam came out on top in a nail-biter against Frontier School of Excellence in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, sneaking past 44-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ozanam since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
