Tradition Prep had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Lake Worth on Tuesday. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Trojans. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won five contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Sebastian Garcia made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases. Tradition Prep is undefeated when Garcia posts two or more runs, but 5-8 otherwise.

In other pitching news, Tyler Hagan looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Tradition Prep: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise.

Back at the plate, Tradition Prep let Aliet Garcia and Jack Greene run wild. Garcia scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Greene scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Greene is becoming a predictor of Tradition Prep's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-8 when he doesn't).

The win (which was Tradition Prep's third in a row) raised their record to 8-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lake Worth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.

Tradition Prep wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 8-5 defeat against South Fork on the 10th. As for Lake Worth, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 loss against Santaluces on the 14th.
