Despite the loss, Leechburg still got an impressive performance from Jayden Floyd, who scored 22 points along with three steals. Floyd scored a full 43.1% of Leechburg's points, the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Brady Rollinger was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five steals.
Summit Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Leechburg, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Summit Academy will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Aquinas Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 3rd. One thing working in Aquinas Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Leechburg and Greensburg Central Catholic will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Greensburg Central Catholic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Leechburg in Pennsylvania (Greensburg Central Catholic is ranked 42nd, while Leechburg is ranked 720th).
