The Berry Cardinal's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 41-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Olympic. Berry lost against Olympic in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 63-14 score last time.
Tanner Bushee and Zyhir Williams certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Bushee rushed for 182 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, while Williams picked up 210 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Olympic can attribute much of their success to Reese Graham, who rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. De'Angelo Hall did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 110 receiving yards.
Berry's loss was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 3-7 Olympic and 3-7 Palisades (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 42.8% over those games). As for Olympic, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.
Berry does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Olympic also has no future games currently scheduled.
