The Riverside Prep Silver Knights suffered their biggest loss since December 27, 2023 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Big Bear at home and fell 76-46. Riverside Prep was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Big Bear apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Riverside Prep lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Keion Jordan, who scored ten points along with five steals. Jordan continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Marrion Brown, who scored ten points.
Big Bear's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aiden Brewer, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and six blocks. Brewer hasn't dropped below two blocks for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Ryder Dolan, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Riverside Prep's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Big Bear, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-5.
Riverside Prep won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Silver Valley at 5:30 p.m. on January 17th.
