The Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets will be playing at home against the Round Valley Elks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Blue Ridge had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past Show Low 30-0 on the road.
Karlo Harris and Luke Berlin were among the main playmakers for Blue Ridge as the former rushed for 95 yards on only nine carries and the latter threw for 165 yards and three touchdowns. David Simmons did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 89 receiving yards.
Round Valley fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Fountain Hills 51-7 on the road.
Blue Ridge's win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-1. As for Round Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season.
Blue Ridge took a serious blow against Round Valley in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 42-12. Will Blue Ridge have more luck at home instead of on the road?
