Baseball Recap: Lawson Wins Going Away Against Cane Ridge

Lawson's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Cane Ridge Ravens 15-3. The Lightning might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 11 runs or more this season.

Jack Gwin looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Joe Featherstone was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Elliot Swihart, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Lawson's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Cane Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Lawson will be playing at home against Creek Wood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cane Ridge, they are taking a road trip to challenge Hume-Fogg at 4:30 p.m. on March 19th.
