The Central Private Redhawks will face off against the Maurepas Wolves at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Maurepas will be up against a hot Central Private squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Redhawks' pitcher stepped up to hand Plaquemine a 20-0 shutout on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Redhawks considering their two-run performance the matchup before.
Aubrey Lane Watts made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Central Private got a massive performance out of Addy Brown, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those four runs gave Brown a new career-high. Avery McCartney was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases.
Maurepas came out on top against False River on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive 13-run fourth inning. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Gators. With that win, the Wolves brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Like Central Private, Maurepas also got a great game from a two-way player: Sidney Lauzervich. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Lauzervich has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Saydie Sterling was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Kambree Delatte, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.
Maurepas always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as False River only posted an OBP of .294.
Maurepas' victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Central Private, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.
Everything went Central Private's way against Maurepas in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Central Private made off with a 17-7 victory. Will the Redhawks repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
