After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Colorado Springs Christian, the Manitou Springs Mustangs were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 47-27 margin over Pueblo Centennial. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Manitou Springs has posted yet this season.
Tori Greene continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 12 points along with eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Kate Jorstad was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Pueblo Centennial lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nina Orta. Despite the final result, she scored 17 points along with two steals. Orta has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.
Manitou Springs is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for Pueblo Centennial, they bumped their record down to 3-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
