Mullen won the last time they faced Legacy and things went their way on Friday too. The Mustangs came out on top against the Lightning by a score of 28-20. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Mullen's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cole Parsons, who threw for 270 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 72.2% of his passes. Dante Dupuch helped Parsons out on the ground, rushing for 136 yards.

Several Lightning players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joey Jewett, who picked up 39 receiving yards and two scores. Chase Combs handled things on the ground, rushing for 91 yards.

Mullen's record now sits at 3-4. As for Legacy, they now also have a losing record of 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Mullen will head out to take on Erie at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.86 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Legacy, they will venture away from home to face off against Rangeview at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
