Maxwell is 2-8 against Quincy since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Panthers will welcome the Trojans at 2:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Maxwell will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Friday, then bounced right back against Princeton on Tuesday. The Panthers blew past the Eagles 21-10. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Quincy's hitters rose to the challenge against a Tigers pitching crew that boasted an average of only 3.62 runs allowed on Friday. The Trojans put the hurt on Portola with a sharp 11-3 win. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.
Like Maxwell, Quincy also got a great game from a two-way player: Jemma Trueblood. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Trueblood has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Quincy got a big performance out of Charlotte Wade, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Wade has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Adelia Steward was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Quincy's victory bumped their record up to 9-3-1. As for Maxwell, their win bumped their record up to 9-12-1.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Maxwell hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .437. However, it's not like Quincy struggles in that department as they've averaged .316. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
