Softball Recap: South Fayette Extends Winning Streak to Four

South Fayette had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. Everything went their way against the Upper St. Clair Panthers as they made off with a 9-2 win. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by seven runs or more this season.

South Fayette pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Upper St. Clair, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Fayette will take on Chartiers Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Colts have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Upper St. Clair, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Montour at 7:00 p.m.
