Gilbert Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitchers stepped up to hand ALA - Ironwood a 34-0 shutout on Monday. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by six runs or more this season.
Brody Aubut made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Gilbert Christian let Sam Webb and Camden Pallas run wild. Webb got on base in all six of his plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and four RBI, while Pallas got on base in four of his six plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five runs gave Webb a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dane Coyle, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three runs.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Odyssey Institute had no trouble coming through when it counted. They skirted past Tonopah Valley 1-0.
Odyssey Institute secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Nick DePaz, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Odyssey Institute's win bumped their record up to 9-11-1. As for Gilbert Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 17-8.
Odyssey Institute's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Gilbert Christian has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Odyssey Institute, though, as they've been averaging 8.7 hits. Given Gilbert Christian's sizable advantage in that area, the Minotaur will need to find a way to close that gap.
Gilbert Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Odyssey Institute in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 11-6. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Minotaur have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
