The Timberline Wolves put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Springville with points to spare, taking the game 54-40. Given Timberline's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked second in Idaho, while Springville is ranked 41st in Utah), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Timberline's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.1 points per game. As for Springville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Timberline will face off against Kuna at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kuna will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Springville and Cedar Valley will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Cedar Valley is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.6 points per game.
