The Heuvelton Central Bulldogs's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Massena Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd.
On Saturday, Heuvelton Central came up short against North Warren Central and fell 54-43.
Meanwhile, Massena put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Salmon River 74-35 on the road. The win was familiar territory for Massena who now have four in a row.
Massena's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Colin Patterson, who scored 22 points along with three steals, and Taylor Mitchell, who scored 22 points along with five assists and four steals. Mitchell hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Chris Boyea, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Heuvelton Central's defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 2-4. As for Massena, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
