Despite their loss, Temple Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Zade Darter, who rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns, was perhaps the best of all. Those 113 rushing yards gave Darter a new career-high. Nathan Williams was another key player, rushing for 91 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Even though they lost, Temple Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 276 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mercy Culture Prep only rushed for 127.
Meanwhile, a win for St. Paul just wasn't in the cards on Friday as the squad wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They were beaten by Central Texas Christian 43-14.
Temple Christian's record now sits at 2-8. As for St. Paul, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
