The Skyview Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Vallivue Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Idaho (Skyview is ranked 53rd, while Vallivue is ranked 70th).
Last Tuesday, Skyview had to suffer through a rough 76-39 loss at the hands of Bishop Kelly. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Skyview in their matchups with Bishop Kelly: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Vallivue lost to Emmett at home by a decisive 68-53 margin on Monday. Vallivue has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Vallivue saw an underclassman step up: Zakary Hogg scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominik Betancourt, who scored 12 points.
Skyview has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Vallivue, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Skyview strolled past Vallivue in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 75-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Skyview since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
