The Benjamin Franklin Electrons fell victim to the Imhotep Charter Panthers''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Panthers on the road and fell 58-0. While losing is never fun, Benjamin Franklin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 335th, while Imhotep Charter is ranked fifth).
Among those leading the charge was Mikal Davis jr, who threw for 139 yards and two touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Kenny Woseley jr. got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Benjamin Franklin's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-5. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 1.5 points per game. As for Imhotep Charter, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Benjamin Franklin will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech at 12:00 p.m. on November 23rd. As for Imhotep Charter, they will take on Martin Luther King at 4:00 p.m. on November 11th. Martin Luther King will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
